A Call To Fasting [ En Español ] “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (Amplified) Bishop James D. Leggett, General Superintendent of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, coming into agreement with the Awakening America Alliance, has called for a 21 day fast beginning January 1, 2008 for all IPHC leaders, ministers and churches. “Together we are praying for a spiritual awakening to sweep across America to change hearts and lives and bring millions into the Kingdom of God.” This initiative is inclusive of the IPHC Directives to pray for the harvest, give generously, reach people, disciple believers, plant churches and develop leaders. “The IPHC will reach our Kingdom potential as we humble ourselves before the Lord, examine ourselves, and turn fully to Him requiring His forgiveness and healing according to 2 Chronicles 7:14.” Bishop Leggett has asked the World Intercession Network Prayer Ministry of the IPHC to provide information and guidelines for a 21 day Daniel fast according to Daniel 10:3. In this season of fasting Daniel ate no pleasant foods, meats or wine. Each individual should seek the Lord to know how to fast most effectively during this three week season. Guidelines and menu suggestions are included, as well as a 21 day prayer guide to provide direction and agreement in our prayers. Bishop Leggett is anticipating that churches, ministries and individuals will come out of this time of fasting and prayer with clarified direction, focus and unity, an outpouring of God's power and healing, and breakthrough in America in revelation and salvation! Prepare your hearts as we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and seek His face. Rev. Terry Fowler |
