Preparing for the Elijah Fast AIM: The Elijah Fast for breaking negative mental and emotional habits. AFFIRMATION: I believe in the power of God over the whole person, spirit, soul and body (1 Thess. 5:23). I believe that “He has given us not a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.” (2Tim 1:7) VOW: God being my strength, and grace being my basis, I commit myself to the Elijah fast for building godly character, to the glory of God.
